Another KOF XV backstory is here, and this time it focuses on Leona, Ralf, and Clark to discuss why Team Ikari is back again. As expected, the world’s safety is being threatened again. It also happens to be a direct sequel to another KOF XV backstory. What happens here picks up almost immediately after the ” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>Team Rival one with Heidern, Dolores, and Isla.
The KOF XV Team Ikari story begins with Clark, Leona, and Ralf being briefed by Heidern. It explains that a “creature” will reappear during the next tournament. (The name is omitted due to spoilers, but returning players will know who it is.) It’s such a dangerous situation that Heidern himself is on the front lines. Team Ikari will be there for support, in the event some normally helpful allies go berserk as a result of exposure to the threat.
This is one of many KOF XV team backstories to appear. SNK’s gradually been rolling them out. In addition to Team Ikari and Rival, groups like Team Art of Fighting‘s tales were told.
KOF XV will appear on February 17, 2022 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The PS4 and PS5 open beta will begin on November 19, 2021.
