Learn About Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Kizuna Points and Kizunabilities

Nintendo showcased Kizunabilities, a new character growth system that uses Kizuna Points (or Affinity Points) in the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC. Affinity Points can be obtained by visiting new locations, meeting new characters, helping people with their side quests, or completing the Collectopaedia and Enemypaedia.

In the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC, players can use Affinity Points to unlock Kizunabilities. The name for Kizunabilities is a combination of the words Kizuna, which means Bond or Affinity, and Ability. By spending Kizuna Points (Affinity Points), players can enhance and acquire new Arts, increase stats, and gain new passive abilities.

Nintendo shared a video showcasing some of A’s early abilities in the game. Some of these allow A to heal HP with each auto-attack dealt, as well as increasing A’s attack power after every time an ally’s healed. Affinity Points are also shared by the entire party, so choosing whose abilities to unlock will factor in this mechanic.

Nintendo recently revealed that the Community Board, Collectopaedia, and Enemypaedia will return in Future Redeemed. Completing the Community Board, finishing side-quests, and completing the Collectopaedia and Enemypaedia will grant Affinity Points to grow the party members and unlock Kizunabilities.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed releases with Wave 4 of the Expansion Pass DLC on April 25, 2023.
