Ahead of gamescom 2018, Square Enix and Dontnod have revealed story details and a new trailer for Life is Strange 2. This time around, the game will be focused on a pair of brothers. Two two find themselves fleeing from their home in Seattle, Washington and heading to Puerto Lobos, Mexico.
In Life is Strange 2, we meet Sean Diaz, who is sixteen, and his nine-year-old brother, Daniel. After an incident with a police officer, which was shown in the police dashcam footage shown on August 2, 2018, Sean was forced to take his brother and flee the police. We don’t see exactly what happened to the officer, but do know that Sean was forced to carry what might have been an unconscious Daniel from the scene. We do know that Sean saved a clipping from the altercation, which notes there was a shooting in South Seattle.
As people play through Life is Strange 2, Sean’s choices will shape Daniel. As mentioned in the official blog, your actions will determine his moral center and decide what kind of person he will be. We will also see a new sort of superpower displayed in the game.
The first episode of Life is Strange 2 will appear on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 27, 2018. Jonathan Morali, the composer for Life is Strange has returned for the sequel’s soundtrack.
