How To Live Happily Ever After In Harvest Moon: Connect To A New Land

Recommended Videos

Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land involves raising crops, taking care of animals, and trading with other countries, but you wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy the farm life without a loving partner. Natsume’s latest update shows us how you’ll be finding your significant other in the upcoming game.

Those of you who’ve played recent Harvest Moon games might be familiar with the series’ love system, but to get you up to speed, here’s how you’ll be getting into relationships with suitable bachelors and bachelorettes like Menou and Nadi.

Once you find yourself head over heels for one of the suitable partners, you start out by simply talking to them everyday as a good neighbor, in order to boost your relationship parameters. Giving them their favorite foods will make it go even higher. (Don’t worry, they won’t notice your ulterior motives!)

However, keep in mind that giving them foods they dislike will lower that number. How would you like it if your so-called admirer were to give you a basket of celery, or whatever else it is you dislike, on a daily basis?

After they’ve taken the b— Err… grown fond of you, you’ll be able to take the relationship to the next level by showing them the ultimate sign of Harvest Moon affection—the ring. Should they accept your sign of love, you and he (or she) will start an intimate relationship by going on date events and doing other romantic couple stuff.

…however, if you ignore them or start going around town showing your ring to all the other boys (or girls,) they will love you less and might even dump you.

When you know they’re the one, you’ll be able to propose to your significant other by presenting them a blue feather, which acts as an engagement ring in the world of Harvest Moon. Once you’re married, you’ll get to enjoy meals together and your partner will help you out on the ranch.

Finally, if you and your husband or wife stick together long enough, you’ll eventually have children. And don’t worry, I don’t think they’d make you save up  for your kids’ Harvest Moon college, so you really can live happily ever after!

Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land is slated for release on February 27, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS.
