Have A Look At A Homebrew Version Of Portal Running On The 3DS

Recommended Videos

Smealum, the creator of Aperture Science DS, has released a version of the game that he’s calling Portal 3DS that, yes, runs on the Nintendo 3DS. You can see it in action in the video above.

To clarify this is a homebrew version of Valve’s classic first-person puzzler Portal that was made for the Nintendo DS. Using the 3DS emulator Citra, Smealum and other collaborators have managed to get it working for the 3DS.

As you’ll see in the video, most of the original mechanics and ideas seen in Portal are included in the game, such as the use of portals, momentum jumps, switches, and cube physics. GLaDOS, however, is nowhere to be seen or heard.
