MachiaVillain will have players vying to turn their dull old mansion into a house of lethal horrors, luring locals into their custom-built death trap while building up their reputation as a villain.

Players are given an empty mansion at the beginning of MachiaVillain, and are tasked with drawing people into it in order to kill them. Players can set up hidden saws and spike traps to add some surprises for visitors, and they can also fill their halls with various monsters that will hunt down anyone who draws near. They’ll also want to keep a supply of minions to clean up blood and viscera, though, as stains might indicate to new visitors that they should turn away.

Not everyone who arrives at the mansion is a hapless victim, though, as other monsters who wish to ruin the villain’s reputation, as well as monster hunters, may arrive to make trouble in the mansion.  Players will have to carefully deal with these interferences, but they can collect various body parts off of them once they’ve been defeated them, using them to craft new, useful horrors.

Players cannot just kill their visitors willy-nilly, though, as they must follow the rules of horror. This means that they cannot harm dogs, must kill the virgin last, or do other specific things during each night of intruders if they hope to succeed and become known for having the most dangerous mansion.

MachiaVillain is available now on Steam.
