Namco Bandai actually makes Mario Kart games, but only for arcades. After a six year break, Namco Bandai announced a new game Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix DX. The upcoming game adds features from Mario Kart 7 like the gliders and underwater racing.


A two player co-op mode is kind essentially Mario Kart Double Dash. One person drives the kart and the other attacks a computer controlled team with items.

Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix DX will have new courses like this Taiko: Drum Master level. Wada-don, the series’ mascot, is a playable character in Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix DX too. We have no idea how an anthropomorphic drum can drive a go kart, but here we are!

Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix DX also has a new feature where you can a friend can shield you from a rival team’s attack and an online enabled battle mode. Remember Tank! Tank! Tank!’s camera feature where you can take a photo of yourself with a funny hat? Yeah, this game includes that feature too.
