After completing a number of Harrisville quests that sees your avatar’s grandfather, Kenny, reconnecting with his Yo-kai friends, a new sidequest will appear called “Your Local Mascot.” Harry Barry, a Yo-kai that wants to be Harrisville’s mascot, will appear at the small town’s train station to kick off a back-and-forth chain that will eventually result in everyone meeting Kumamon, the mascot for Japan’s Kumamoto Prefecture.

Kumamon has been Kumamoto Prefecture’s mascot since 2010. He was voted the top mascot nationwide in 2011. He and Funassyi, the mascot for Funabashi, Chiba, are two of the most famous Japanese mascot characters. Kumamon has also appeared in Apple iOS and Android games, like Kumamon Catch, as well as Kumamon Bomber: Puzzle de Kumamon Gymnastics for the Nintendo 3DS.
