Mega Man 35th Anniversary Merchandise Replicates Classic Box Art

The Mega Man (aka Rockman) franchise turned 35 years old this year, and Capcom is celebrating with a line of exclusive new prize item merchandise. Fans can obtain the MegaMan 35th Anniversary gear from Capcom’s amusement facilities in Japan, or via its Net Catcher online crane game [Thanks, Game Watch!]

The Mega Man 35th Anniversary prize lineup is led by a pair of exclusive graphic t-shirts, and a set of six pouches. Their designs deliberately evoke the box art on the Japanese editions of Rockman, Rockman 2, Rockman 3, Rockman 4, Rockman 5, and Rockman 6.

The shirts come in large size, and each design is packaged in a box that looks highly similar to the Rockman and Rockman 2 box. One shirt features the Rockman box art on a blue background and the other the Rockman 2 box art a red background.

The next category of Mega Man 35th Anniversary merchandise covers a bit more of the line. A set of six “package pouches” closely replicates the box art of the first six Rockman titles on the exterior of the pouch. The detail is pretty comprehensive, covering the front, back, top, bottom, and sides of the pouch in authentic logos and box text. The interior of the pouch contains two pockets: The interior of the lid has a pocket for flat items like cards or papers, and the inside has a mesh pocket suitable for holding electronic devices like power banks, chargers, cords, headphones, or other items.

Capcom’s Mega Man 35th Anniversary prize items are available through Capcom’s amusement facilities, as well as the Net Catcher online crane game in Japan. The games are available on modern platforms like the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC, Amazon Luna, and Xbox One via the Mega Man Legacy Collection, a remastered compilation of the first six Mega Man games.
