I played Mega Man Xover at Tokyo Game Show and I wasn’t enthusiastic about it. While the idea of all these Mega Man universes coming together is neat, the game had a customizable Mega Man auto running while you tapped shoot or jump.

Capcom added one feature that *might* make Mega Man Xover interesting. There’s a Battle Arena mode which lets you challenge another player to a one-on-one battle. You can customize your Mega Man by equipping a Buster and Gear before jumping into a fight. Battle Arena mode works like boss fights where you can fire bullets or shoot a charge shot.
Mega Man Xover is available now in Japan and was originally slated for an international release. However, Capcom put localization plans on ice.
