While rummaging through the 1UP Message Boards, I came across this interesting thread that links to the site in question, Whatswrongwithu, a site geared towards promoting the Xbox 360 in SE Asian countries. By answering the rhetorical question the site gives you and inputting your email address, you’ll get some icons and wallpapers and feel as if you’ve accomplished something great. Well not maybe, but you get the idea.
Of course, the real question is really if the site is using schoolyard logic to determine whether or not SE Asian consumers are a bunch of, for lack of a better term, morons for not buying into the 360. Has insulting the consumer become a new fad in marketing? I don’t know about that.
