There is a short video of Minato Aqua announcing her ambassador status on the official YouTube channel for the upcomingSword Art Online games. She stated that she wants to hype up the game along with other fans, and, as mentioned earlier, will be streaming the game. It’s unclear if she’ll stream parts of the game before its official release date or if she’ll stream it after it comes out.

This is not the first time in recent history that a Hololive VTuber became the official ambassador for a game. Lasengle recently revealed Usada Pekora as the ambassador for Fate/Grand Order—more specifically, for FGO Fes 2023. Her job will be to stream portions of the live event and make announcements about the source material.

Sword Art Online Last Recollection will be the newest entry in the long-running Sword Art Online video game series. It will adapt the War of Underworld arc, along with game-original characters and story threads. All of the previous playable game-original characters will return in this one to aid Kirito in his quest. You can read our preview of it here.

Sword Art Online Last Recollection will come out on October 5, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
