Those who always felt the original Nintendo 64 controller’s design was a bit awkward to handle now have a newly-designed third-party controller to look forward to. The “Next Gen N64 Controller” designed by Retro Fighters just recently started its campaign over on Kickstarter and has already surpassed its original goal of $13,000, sitting at just over $30,000 at the time of this writing, with exactly 4 weeks remaining in the campaign.

The controller features the C button moved to the right side, above A and B, and both the analogue and D-pad are within reach on the left side. In addition, the controller even has slots for N64 memory cards and Rumble Pak.

As far as the Kickstarter goes, each controller costs $20, and pledging $45 or more will get your name listed in the controller’s product instruction manual.
