Similar to previous Monster Hunter games, you’ll get to show Poogie some affection by petting it. There’s a new treasure hinting feature with the Poogie that allows you to carry it up in your arms and walk around to look for items.

When your controller rumbles that means there’s an item nearby and the Poogie will fetch it for you and send it to your item box.

The Version 1.01 update adds Gallery Mode that can be used to watch scenes again. And lastly, it’ll also launch online play, which won’t be available until the release of the day-one patch.

Monster Hunter: World releases on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version will arrive this fall. Check out our previous report for a look at some gameplay in the Rotten Vale area.
