E3 2017 hasn’t officially started yet, but we’re already getting plenty of news from around the world. The latest comes from a new trademark of Monster Hunter: World that was recently registered. [Thanks, NeoGAF.]
According to the trademark-diggers, Monster Hunter: World was registered in the United States as well as Norway. Considering that it wasn’t your usual trademark filed in Japan, there’s a good chance this won’t be another Monster Hunter smartphone game, and with E3 2017, we just might get the official reveal sooner than expected.
The title “World” makes it sound like an online title of some sort, but it could also simply end up being the Western name for Monster Hunter XX. In any case, we’re dying to learn more about the mystery MonHun title, and hopefully the wait won’t be too long.
