A little moogle follows Serah around in Final Fantasy XIII-2. I could call the little guy out while I was exploring the Resha Ruins in the E3 demo by pressing R2. This made the moogle slam the floor and the ground within a certain radius glow.
What happened? The moogle tried searching for items.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 addresses some fan concerns by adding lively areas in the game. Before I stepped into an area with monsters, I was walking through a space filled with people to talk to. I circled the square and grabbed floating treasure chests. Potions, a tiny bit of gil, and an elixir were my rewards for exploring slightly off the beaten path.
