Xbox Game Pass Core is a new tier of Microsoft’s subscription service that’s intended to replace Games with Gold. Instead of a rotating selection of monthly free games, subscribers get access to a smaller version of the Game Pass library. It will be updated every few months, much less frequently than the full service. The new games join a selection of games announced during the service’s reveal in July 2023.

Xbox Game Pass Core will include online multiplayer and will be available for $9.99 a month. The basic Game Pass tier which provides access to the full library without online multiplayer is $10.99 a month. Finally, Game Pass Ultimate is $16.99 a month and offers both, along with an EA Play membership and access to the PC and cloud libraries.

Xbox Game Pass Core will launch on September 14, 2023.
