After the previous season 6 covered the Paranormal Liberation War and Dark Hero arcs, the upcoming seventh season will continue the story from chapter 329 of Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga. It will also mark the start of the Star and Stripe arc, which was covered in Volume 34 of the tankobon manga published in Japanese in May 2022 and in English in May 2023.

The My Hero Academia anime character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi has also drawn a new key visual for the upcoming season 7. It shows Izuku “Deku” Midoriya, Katsuki “Dynamight” Bakugo, Ochaco “Uravity” Uraraka, and Shoto Todoroki preparing for the upcoming decisive battles against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One.
