A mysterious new Pokémon began appearing in frequent numbers during yesterday’s Chikorita Community Day in Pokémon Go. The mysterious Pokémon, when captured, would turn into Ditto or other Pokémon like Chikorita. [Thanks, Serebii!]
Niantic’s Japanese head of marketing, Kento Suga, tweeted about the occurrence, hinting that this sudden turn of events could have been intentional, and not the result of some sort of error.
Perhaps related to the appearance of this new Pokémon is that a new Pokémon was teased as one of the presents that can be given as a gift when connecting between Pokémon Go and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!. The Pokémon thus will also be available in the Pokémon Let’s Go set of games, if this is the same one that was mentioned.
