Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Introduces Its “Leader-Change” System

Recommended Videos

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the latest in the Naruto fighting game series by CyberConnect2, where we’ll see some of the latest characters that were in the series, along with the movie. CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama recently showed what else is new in the upcoming title.

Matsuyama shows us some of the latest in the game, and at the 2:10 mark of the video, we get a look at a new leader-change system, where you’ll get to seamlessly change between members in your party. This can be done to switch while doing combos, too.

There’s a cooldown period for how often the leader-change can be done, but it’s something that’s still in adjustment by CyberConnect2.

Next, at 3:40, Matsuyama explains how up until now, when you do things like “Fire Style,” you can do a burn effect on enemies that damages them for a few seconds. In Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm, you’ll see the flames remain on on the characters.

While the flame remains visible on the character, it’ll continue doing damage until it goes away, but you’ll also be able to speed up the process and extinguish it by using ninja moves to move around, or by going on puddles or rives found in the stages. You can also switch characters to get rid of the effect.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will release in Fall 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
