New Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Update and DLC Roadmap Released

Bandai Namco released a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 roadmap for the 2023 and 2024 DLC and updates while teasing “a step toward the future.” On October 12, 2023, there will be a free update alongside the game’s seventh anniversary. This will include a Welcome Campaign login bonus and DLC character free trial. However, in the future more DLC and the PS5 and Xbox Series X ports are on the way.

First, there’s the actual roadmap. It shows that for the roadmap, people can take part in the Festival of Universes event or face others in the Cross Versus battle mode. We can also level up our avatars further, as the cap was unlocked, and et Awoken Skill Ultra Instinct. People can log in for a one-week period between October 12-19, 2023 to get bonuses. 

As for the DLC character trial period running until October 19, 2023, people can test the following folks out without buying them:

  • Broly (Full Power Super Saiyan)
  • Cabba
  • Dabura
  • Frost
  • Fu
  • Fused Zamasu

As for 2024, four specific sorts of things are mentioned in addition to a mysterious “and more.” When the next year begins, it will bring with it the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, more characters, and an additional scenario. “Other contents” are mentioned, but it isn’t noted if these are things like new modes or cosmetics.

As for that teaser trailer, here’s what Bandai Namco had to show about the future of the game. It suggested some new characters, as well involved some new key art. At the end of the video, it also showed what comes in various editions. The Deluxe Edition features early access to Future Trunks and Super Pass 1-4. The Special Edition adds the Hero of Justice Pack Set.

Bandai Namco’s continued supporting the game since its 2016 launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2016. For example, Switch and Stadia ports appeared in subsequent years. Among the 2023 additions included Orange Piccolo and Cell Max. 

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available for the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC, with the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions arriving in 2024.
