New Evangelion 3.0+1.0 TV Spot Shows Rei Working As a Farmer

Studio Khara has revealed two new 15-second TV spots for Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time on YouTube and Twitter, featuring a few interesting scenes from the movie. Both are set in a village on the outskirts of the ruined Tokyo-3 and feature the EVA pilots participating in some countryside activities. The videos have not been uploaded to the official Evangelion website and seem to only be available on YouTube and Twitter.

The first TV Spot, posted on Twitter, features Rei Ayanami after the events of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. She can be seen wearing the Mark 09 plugsuit with a straw hat and rubber sleeves, planting rice shoots in a field with a few other farmers. You can check it out via the official Evangelion Twitter below:

The second “B” TV Spot is currently available on YouTube, on Studio Khara’s official YouTube channel. This TV spot features a few more details; notably, some shots of dilapidated buildings and nature, as well as a few character scenes. In it, Shinji can be seen fishing while Rei takes a nap under a tree alongside a few workers. Asuka is also seen wearing her Unit-02 plugsuit, angrily yelling at someone on the ground.

Studio Khara has recently made a statement condemning piracy of the film, warning pirates of the film that doing so is a form of copywrite infringement. The studio stated it would take “appropriate action” against violators. Evangelion 3.0+1.0 has yet to receive a concrete release date for regions outside of Japan, though previous Rebuild of Evangelion films have had delayed releases in the US.

Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time is currently being shown in Japanese theatres.
