New Monster Hunter XX Video Shows How The Switch Version Compares To The Original

Monster Hunter XX is less than a week away from releasing on the Nintendo Switch in Japan, and a new video shared by Digital Foundry helps gives us a look at how the Switch version compares to the original 3DS game.

 

Perhaps the biggest difference between the 3DS and Switch version is that the original’s resolution was 240p, while the Switch version increased that to 1080p while docked and 720p while in portable mode. The Switch version also features overhauled graphics as well as better draw distances. In addition, the Switch shares the 3DS’s FPS, running the game at 30 frames per second, and loading times remain the same as well.

Monster Hunter XX is available on Nintendo 3DS in Japan and is set to release for the Switch on August 25th.
