Players will be able to obtain the Abstract Captain through a limited time banner that will be available until September 6, 2021. Two types of banners are available. One only uses paid gems, whiles the other allows the use of gems obtained entirely for free. The Abstract Captain is a 4 star unit that uses guns. The weapon that accompanies this variant of Griff is the War’s Chronicle IV.

Additionally, players can obtain a 4 star Greatsword and a 3 star Sword through the event entirely for free. The Variation: Tempestuous Senior Officer event will last until September 6, 2021 and allows players to obtain rewards through a gacha system. Participation in the event will yield tickets that can be used to roll on a unique event banner. Players will need to obtain rewards to progress to the next level of the event banner.

Griff arrived alongside the Chapter 10 update. Players can obtain a 2 star version of this character entirely for free through story progression.

NieR Reincarnation is immediately available for Android and iOS devices.
