Arc System Works shared the latest info and screenshots for Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] featuring one of the update’s new characters, Wagner, or Erika Miyashiro, the “Void Hunter” of Licht Kreis.
Wagner (CV: Shizuka Ishigami)
Wagner is known as the “Void Hunter” and as the ultimate knight from the Licht Kreis organization. Wagner is a character who is able to freely manipulate fire. With her offensive prowess that allows her to play aggressively and unrivaled defense, Wagner makes for one formidable addition with a versatile moveset.
Here’s a look at some of her moves:
Kugel Blitz – Jumps upwards engulfed in flames in a spinning attack.
Wachenröder – An upwards spinning attack that burns down enemies. It provides a moment of invulnerability, making it a good counter option.
Holy Falmes of Megiddo (Infinite Worth Exist) – Engulfs herself in a massive fire, then drops down from the heavens.
Hitze Vogel (Infinite Worth) – Another blazing attack that involves Wagner jumping high above and making it rain down destruction.
In her story, Wagner tries finding ways on how to put her sword to good use under the name of the Licht Kreis organization, and occasionally takes things a bit too far. She’s currently attending school for social studies with her maids while investigating on the sudden influx of Fake Borns.
Tutorial Mode has been improved with various commands for the characters such as “walk,” “attack,” and other options. It’s also been split up into lessons ranging from starter, intermediate, advanced, and super advanced.
Mission Mode lets players of various levels practice combos and basic moves. All practice methods are different for every character in Mission Mode, so it’ll be a good way to learn new characters.
Finally, those who purchase first-print copies of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] will get a “Force of Fragment” original soundtrack that comes with the opening song for the console version as well as the arcade version, new character themes, and more on an 11-track disc.
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] releases in Japan on July 20, 2017 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
