Our half-demon heroine has a number of different ways to fight against the monsters of the night in Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon. Players will be able to go with a number of different battle styles, depending on what Aluche has equipped and which Lilies, human(-ish) allies and Servans she is currently working with. This allows people to customize fights to their liking.

Koei Tecmo has offered information on three of these battle styles. Assault Style is one that focuses on Striker weapons like great swords, lances, and pile bunkers. It is designed to accommodate a constant and major assault with weapons that have a large range and do a lot of damage. Recommended Lilies for this style are Camilla, who can heal her when she’s stunned, and Liliana, who can revive her once. The Lily Cooperation Style is about working together with Lilies to pull off Double Chases, Lily Bursts, Lily Skills and increase the current Lily’s level. Arnice, Ruenheid, and Veruschka are three offensive Lilies that work well with this battle style. The Advantage from Disadvantage Style relies on the Blood Sword to attack, which means Aluche’s health will be low and attack power will be high. Eleanor, with her buffs and debuffs, and Muveil, with her ability to attract and halt enemies, are good Lilies to use with this style.

In addition to battle style details, more information on Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon’s areas, Servans, and one enemy have been released. Aluche will find herself in Yuralm, the abandoned capital city where she grew up with Liliana and Ruenheid, the Espheria Royal Academy the three girls attended, Yuralm’s Hotel Eterna, the Holy Forest, a Hidden Mine near Yuralm, and the Frozen Moon Palace. Perhaps she will fight Malavasia’s 2nd Form, an angelic appearance the demon takes during her fight with Aluche, in one of these spots.

The newly revealed Striker-type Servans are as follows:

  • Alice the Doll, who becomes a Mirror Shield that can fire a beam when charged.
  • Dump the Machine Golem, who becomes a Pile Bunker that might paralyze an enemy, but greatly reduces Aluche’s attack and speed.
  • Duul the Lizardman, who becomes a Lance that is good at dealing high DPS.
  • Eir the Phoenix, who becomes a Great Sword with a fire attribute.
  • Grantz the Crystal Golem, who becomes a Crystal Sword that might occasionally freeze an opponent.
  • Pitz the Bee, who becomes a speedy Partisan.

In addition, the Vor Trickster-type Servan, appears to help boost Aluche’s attack and speed.
