White Cat Project developer Colopl recently announced that a new project is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020, which certainly raised some eyebrows considering that Nintendo is currently in the midst of a lawsuit against the company over five patent infringements. However, a new statement from Nintendo clarifies that the two matters are unrelated. [Thanks, Nikkei!]

According to Nintendo, “Their game software sales and the lawsuit are completely separate matters.”

The Nintendo vs Colopl started early this year, and is still ongoing. The case has gone on to a third round of trials, and is unlikely to see resolution soon.

Shironeko New Project for Nintendo Switch is expected to release in 2020. More information will be shared later.
