Nintendo has confirmed over on Twitter that Splatoon 2 will feature a spectator mode. Called “Private Battle Spectator View,” the mode will allow a ninth and a tenth player join an eight player match and essentially act as “cameramen” for the battle. There will be an option to switch from bird’s-eye view and third-person views on players.

Splatoon 2 will release for the Nintendo Switch in Q2/Q3 2017.
