Nintendo Scales Back Wii Production

https://www.siliconera.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/wii.jpg?resize=233%2C273 In December of 2008, Wii production was over 2.4 million units per-month. According to a report at Nikkei, Nintendo are now scaling back production of the Wii in response to slower sales than the system has seen in the last two years.

This is evidenced by a drop in net profits of over 50% of manufacturers Mitsumi and Hosiden, whose business has been affected by a decrease in orders from Nintendo.
