Namco Bandai has not announced a specific release date for North America, but the Asian release has English text. So, if you’re eagerly awaiting a brand new game from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi fire up a Hong Kong or Singapore registered PSN account then. Oh, and be sure to check out these screenshots of the snake-like alien and his trippy house friend.

Update: It looks like Noby Noby Boy will come out worldwide on February 19. Europe is getting the game then so chances are we will be too. The announcement from Namco Bandai Europe also included details about what Noby Noby Boy actually is. You control the BOY which eats things and grows. Similar to Katamari Damacy the two analog sticks move the BOY, but the difference is one stick moves the front while the other moves the back.

While you’re stretching the BOY in single player games the GIRL grows. Each game played elongates the GIRL and moves her from Earth towards other planets in the solar system. The neat twist is players everywhere grow the girl together sort of like the Everybody’s Katamari feature. When the GIRL reaches certain milestones new stages are unlocked for everyone.

Update 2: Noby Noby Boy will see a release here too on February 19 and the game is just $4.99, that’s almost half the price of what Japan has to pay for it.
