It has come to our attention that there’s an ongoing series of Disqus account hacks across various websites online, including some in our very own community. In light of these concerns, we recommend updating your passwords for safe measure.
Disqus is aware of the situation and posted the following on Twitter:
Spam Update: We’re aware of and working to combat a new spam pattern that started today. Currently we’re working to:
– blacklist the pattern so new posts don’t display
– delete the spam posts from today
– temporarily disable editing of posts that are > 2 days old— Disqus (@disqus) April 24, 2018
You can change your password by going to disqus.com  through the “Settings” menu by clicking on your profile. From here you can change your password in the “Account” section.
Disqus Spam Hack is currently in development for vulnerable Disqus accounts.
