Octopath Traveler: Conquerors of the Continent Story Trailer Introduces Helminia

Square Enix released a new trailer for Octopath Traveler: Conquerors of the Continent that highlights Helminia, the “Witch of Greed,” who conquers using her abundance of wealth. Helminia is known as the “Witch of Greed,” and she clarifies why in the trailer. To Helminia, the only thing that matters is wealth, and those without any have no meaning. However, she’s not only greedy but vile in other ways. In the story trailer, we see her telling servants to work harder if they have the energy to complain. However, after getting her dress stained with their blood, she kills them off for having “less value than a slave.” Helminia rules the area with brute force against the peasants, and even has young girls sell “suspicious powder” around town at exorbitant prices. We’ll see those who deem themselves “worth” protecting their village stand against the Conqueror in this part of the story. Octopath Traveler: Conquerers of the Continent will release for iOS and Android in Japan on October 28, 2020.
