Orogenesis takes players to a world rendered grotesque by a strange power born of a sinister mountain, tasking them with helping Dude, Pipe, and Tea deal with the aftermath through exploring and turn-based combat.

Taking cues from The Legend of Zelda, Orogenesis gives players a wide world to explore, letting them find their own preferred routes through its absurd, funky locales. As they work through it, they will find various monsters to battle, weirdos they can help with sidequests, and eventually, the four powerful orbs that fell from the sky when the unsettling mountain first appeared.

When players come across opposition, they’ll need to fight the oddball enemies in their way through turn-based combat. With each chosen action in battle comes hand-drawn animations, adding a visual flourish to the game’s many attacks. Players shouldn’t expect to grow stronger as they fight the various bizarre beasts they come across, though, as there is no leveling system in the game, with growth tied to gear instead.

Orogenesis is currently raising development funding on Kickstarter with a demo available on Itch.io.
