Persona and Like a Dragon (Yakuza) Games Sales for April to June 2023 Shared

Sega Sammy shared its Q1 for the Fiscal Year Ending March 31, 2024 Results Presentation, detailing how things are going for Atlus and Sega games. As such, we now know how sales of games in the Persona and Like a Dragon (Yakuza) series are doing so far this year. Persona is currently performing better, as it passed 630,000 copies sold worldwide between April 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023. Like a Dragon, which includes the Judgment spin-offs, is at 510,000.

For context, the diagram on page 16 of the report also went over how both sales of games in the Persona and Like a Dragon (Yakuza) series did during the same quarter the previous year, as well as how they did by the end of that period. In Q1 of the previous fiscal year, Persona was at 270,000. This is likely due to the ports of the third, fourth, and fifth entries not appearing on other platforms until later in 2022. Meanwhile, Like a Dragon entries were at 470,000. By the end of that fiscal year, which closed out in March 2023, Persona was at 3.27 million and Like a Dragon was at 2.83 million.

Here’s the official diagram. It also noted that games in the Sonic the Hedgehog series passed 1.22 million between April and June 2023.

The next Persona game will be Persona 5 Tactica and come out on November 17, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will appear on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on November 9, 2023.
