The Pokemon Center started accepting pre-orders for the new Piplup and Winking Pikachu Squishmallows. They are both 12 inch versions of the characters. Each one costs $29.99. They are expected to ship in “early September 2023,” but there’s no exact release date for either one.

As these are the Pokemon Center versions of the plush, it means both will feature a special patch on the back. These note that they came from this store. Other releases, which will likely show up at places like Walmart and Target, won’t feature this additional marking.
We already learned about another new variant recently. In November 2023, a holiday Pikachu Squishmallow will appear. It is wearing a Santa hat. They join characters like standard Pikachu, Gengar, Togepi, and Snorlax. All four of those are already available and, while not available at the Pokemon Center, show up in other stores sometimes.
The Pokemon Piplup and Winking Pikachu Squishmallow plush will ship in September 2023. Pre-orders are available while supplies last.
