PlayStation Camera Adapter PS5

Free PS5 PlayStation Camera Adapter Requests Open

PlayStation Camera users can now request an adapter for the PS5 through the official PlayStation website. Those looking to continue their foray into VR supported games will need this accessory to use the PlayStation VR with the next-generation console. Supported PS4 games that require PS Move or PS Aim controllers will also need it. PS5 users will be able to receive this adapter for free, so long as you provide the serial number provided with your PlayStation VR headset.

The website handling requests also links to an FAQ page with information about the adapter does exactly, along with the estimated dates regarding when the adapters will ship. People in Japan will receive adapters in late October 2020, while people in North, Central, and South America can expect to see their adapters ship in mid-November 2020. Customers situated in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand will also receive their adapters sometime in mid-November. Those located in Asian countries outside of Japan will receive the adapter in early December 2020.

You will receive an e-mail once your PlayStation Camera PS5 adapter has shipped. Delivery time will be an estimated two weeks. Once the item has been requested, the delivery address cannot be changed. The last point on the page stated again that those who request the adapter will not need to pay shipping costs to get it. However, only one adapter can be requested per-household. If you have more than one PSVR headset at home, you’ll have to wait until the adapters are available to purchase to get extras.

The PlayStation 5 will launch in Australia, Japan, North America, and South Korea on November 12, 2020. It will appear worldwide on November 19, 2020.
