PlayStation Owners Still Love Final Fantasy VII

This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

Sony proudly announced the PlayStation Network re-release of Final Fantasy VII was downloaded over 100,000 times in North America alone. Pinning an exact sales number may be difficult because of game sharing, but if each download correlates to a purchase Final Fantasy VII made over $999,000 in two weeks. While the ratio won’t be one to one it’s easy to imagine the digitally distributed version of Final Fantasy VII earning that much. Not bad for a twelve year old game.

Three things to do in Final Fantasy VII if you’re playing it for the nth time (and if you’re reading Siliconera you probably are playing it for the nth time).

1.) Morph monsters in the Gelnika into stat boosting source items. See if you can max out Cloud’s stats.

2.) Get Aeris’ ultimate limit break. You need to get mythril for this!

3.) See the “dates” with Barret and Yuffie. Protip: the Barret scene isn’t a date.
