Like Media Create, who we usually turn to for videogame sales numbers in Japan, Famitsu publisher, Enterbrain, also track game sales in the region. This morning, Enterbrain reported that Pokémon Black/White 2, released in Japan this past Saturday, sold 1.61 million copies over the weekend.   For the sake of comparison, the original Black/White sold 2.6 million during their own opening weekend in September 2010. As of May 20th, 2012, Black/White have sold 5.47 million copies in Japan.   Something to keep in mind, however, is that Enterbrain’s tracker is entirely separate from Media Create’s, which is our usual source of sales data. This often means that the two trackers report different sales numbers for games, with the discrepancy varying from slight to great.   We’ll have sales numbers for Pokémon Black/White 2 from Media Create this Wednesday as usual. According to their data, the game saw 1.16 million pre-orders up until June 17th.
