Pokémon X and Pokémon Y have 1.4 million words (800,000 Japanese characters), Game Freak director Junichi Masuda shared at a Pokémon developer discussion today in Los Angeles.

The games will feature seven languages on a single cartridge—English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese and Korean.

Yes, Korean, too. That’s because Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are being released worldwide simultaneously, including in Korea, where Nintendo have been making a significant effort to create a market for games on their platforms.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are slated for release on October 12th.
