The grandfather in the will wander several areas while looking for his grandson, finding satirical, silly versions of Pokemon with goofy names. These will show up as green dots on the minimap when the player is close, and catching several of them will let the grandfather level up.

When not catching monsters, the player can talk to the townsfolk, hearing about how terrible it is to have children catching Pokeymans in the neighborhood park, how people don’t understand what is going on, and other little nods to the exploration (and trespassing) that occurs while playing Pokemon Go.
