Pokémon GO Adds Special, Great, And Ultra Box Microtransactions

Niantic is offering new microtransactions in Pokémon GO. From December 25, 2016 until January 3, 2017, various boxes will be available to buy, each with items bundled together for a reduced price. The first pack of boxes are the Special, Great, and Ultra Boxes, available until December 30, 2017, while the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Boxes will be available from December 31, 2016 until January 3, 2017.

Here are the contents of the Pokémon GO Special, Great, and Ultra Boxes, as well as their prices.

• Special Box: 10 Great Balls and two Egg Incubators for 250 PokéCoins.

• Great Box: 20 Great Balls, two Incenses, and four Egg Incubators for 550 PokéCoins.

• Ultra Box: 20 Ultra Balls, 25 Incenses, and 6 Egg Incubators for 1,500 PokéCoins.

When released, the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Boxes will offer Incenses, Lucky Eggs, Lure Modules, and either Poké Balls or Great Balls. 

Pokémon GO is available for Apple iOS and Android devices. For reference, 100 PokéCoins are $0.99, 550 PokéCoins are $4.99, and 1,200 PokéCoins are $9.99.
