Pokémon Gold & Silver’s Virtual Console Release Will Get Packaged Versions In Europe

Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver are making a return with a release on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console next month, and Nintendo of Europe revealed that Europe will get packaged versions.

According to Nintendo of Europe, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver will get the packaged versions on September 22, the same release date as the Virtual Console release.

The packaged versions won’t include a physical cartridge, but will instead include a download code to go with the special boxes.

So far this has only been announced for Europe, but we’ll likely get a similar announcement for North America and Japan in the near future.
