Each player in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia begins as a student at Almia’s Ranger School, working their way up to an actual ranger. You begin with Munchlax, Pachirisu, or Starly as your partner, but have the opportunity to have up to 16 other partners join you as you play, based on story quests, sub-quests, or in-game capturing. Dim Sun is looking for Dark Crystals in the Almia region, and it’s up to you to protect both the area and Pokémon who live within it.

Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia originally debuted on the Nintendo DS in 2008. It is $9.99 on the Nintendo Wii U.
