The folks at Quickfire Games arenā€™t only interested in making you a very dark and mature harvesting sim in Wild Season. Theyā€™ve also partnered up with Agos Studio to help work on another post-apocalyptic game called Exogenesis ~Perils of Rebirth~.

The post-apocalyptic adventure/visual novel game is looking to combine the sort of heavy character interaction we see in games such as Ace AttorneyĀ with the you-canā€™t-win of Zero Escape-style games.

Ā

The point-and-click title is intending to span about six chapters with puzzles to solve and clues to unravel in an about-10 hour game. Players will be Yudai Sayashi in post-apocalyptic Japan. Humanityā€™s gone to hell, but Yudai and his band of treasure hunters/looters survive by picking up and out items to help them survive. Until a trap triggers two years back in 2069 and fatally ends Yudaiā€™s sister Mihoā€™s life.

Ā

Two years later, and Yudai discovers that the mythical Noahā€™s Ark is a real place that was created in the days before the end timesā€”and in it the Lazarus Protocol that could possibly bring his beloved dead sister back to life. As part of the plan though, heā€™s got to get his treasure hunting group the Durchhalten back togetherā€”even if heā€™s going to have to coax, cajole or gather evidence against them.

The devs are promising that the puzzles surrounding the game arenā€™t going to be nonsensical (And this, really, can only be a good thing) with multiple endings.
