While Wii owners in Japan can enjoy playing Puyo Puyo via the Virtual Console, Sega has a new Puyo Puyo game in development. The Wii version of Puyo Puyo sticks to the blob connecting formula, but the two new modes make it more like a party game. Four players can play Puyo Puyo against each other on the same screen and there is a two player cooperative mode where both players clear blobs on the same board. Puyo Puyo for the Wii is scheduled to come out on July 26 and no North American release date has been announced yet. Should we pick this up and check it out? Or should we skip it since it isn’t too different from other Puyo Puyo games?
