Quell Reflect Is Devoted To Helping You Relax

Nintendo’s 3DS eShop is full of interesting games, and Quell Impact is one of those you should take the moment to check out. The puzzle game with a gentle, soothing soundtrack meant to help you relax was originally developed for smartphones, and is now making the jump to the Nintendo 3DS via publisher Circle Entertainment.

Quell Reflect aims to evoke more of a zen-ish, retrospective feel by grouping its puzzles into years, rooms and names such as “Search Party” or “The Lair”. The sound effects and music that play all throughout are entirely devoted to evoking a feeling of peace. You can get an idea of this by watching the trailer above.

The 3DS version makes use of the top screen to give larger versions of the game’s landscape graphics as well as hints while playing, but it’s still fundamentally in the same vein of figuring out how to pick up all the necessary pieces on a puzzle board to proceed. As players advance, more and different sorts of puzzle elements come into play, including multiple droplet balls, gates and paired locks.

Quell Impact will be available on the Nintendo eShop from February 20th.
