CastleBound offers sidescrolling action across dungeons, castles, and dangerous forests, but if players want a little time away from that, they can raise animals, date one of the locals, or grow crops in their farm.

CastleBound follows a noble who’s returned home to find that evil wizards and monsters have overrun their homeland. This menace needs to be cleared out one monster at a time, with players picking up an array of weapons and heading out into the wild, fighting monsters and bosses with their choice of tools and crafted equipment.

Fighting monsters can be soul-crushing work, so if players want a reprieve from it, they can always take some time to grow crops on a farm they keep in town. They’re also capable of raising cows, pigs, ducks, and other livestock, keeping several animals cared for. If farming proves to be lonely, players can also try to get closer to several townsfolk and warriors they meet on their journey, with marriage being a possible goal for the relationship.

CastleBound is currently raising development funding on Kickstarter, and is projected to release in late 2018.
