The new spot is relatively short, and it is unknown if it will also appear on TV or off of social media. The tagline for it is, “Limit break a piece of cake?” Both Sephiroth and Cloud are showing off their various attacks. Then, after Sephiroth unfurls his single black wing, Cloud drinks a Red Bull in the ad.

Here is the full Red Bull Final Fantasy VII Rebirth commercial.

The message also takes advantage of the fact that using the hashtags #FF7 or #FF7R on Twitter results in a Sephiroth emoji appearing. In Japanese, the hashtags #FF7リバース発売, #早く来いクラウド, and #FF7リバース also work.

This is one of many special promotions that came up for the game ahead of launch. For example, there are Epos credit cards with the two characters on them in Japan. Insomnia Cookies is also using packaging based on the game for a limited time.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024. Its demo is live now. The game’s PS5 exclusivity arrangement expires on May 29, 2024.
