Resident Evil: Vendetta, the third installment of the CG animated film connected to the series, featuring Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers got a new trailer from Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The CGI film takes place sometime before Resident Evil VII, where a villain named Glenn, a black market bioweapon salesman, attempts to unleash a new virus known as the “Trigger Virus” in New York City.
The film is being made by Japanese filmmaker Takashi Shimuzu as the executive producer, Takanori Tsujimoto as the director, and Capcom supervisor Hiroyuki Kobayashi is overseeing the film. The studio behind the title is Sega’s Marza Animation Planet, known for their dedication to making full-length CGI films.
Resident Evil: Vendetta launches in theaters in Summer 2017.
