A new post at the PlayStation Blog from tri-Ace’s Ryosuke Nozawa goes over some of the details that the company is focusing on in Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition. The goal of the updated version of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game is to show the title off in 4K, while also maintaining frame rate of 60FPS, fixing bugs . However, the post also calls attention to the impact this has on characters and environments.
Nozawa points to characters’ hair to note the impact improving textures had on Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition. Specifically, in the post, he noted, “We took special care with the textures to improve their quality. Take a look at the hair carefully to get a sense of this. Not only did we make Leane better, but check out Vashyron’s silky locks as well. We also all really enjoyed being able to see the expressions on the characters as they are traversing the environment.”
Two additional screenshots were provided, to offer a before and after look to show how much Resonance of Fate has changed with the remaster.
Here is the before picture shown on the PlayStation Blog.
And here is the after picture from Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition.
Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition will make its PlayStation 4 and PC debut on October 18, 2018. Resonance of Fate is immediately available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
